The food is great. I worked here for about a week, and it didn't work out because I have another job, and there was too much schedule conflict, which basically had me working every day. However the owner, staff, food, and prices are great.

Best fried chicken on be had. Light batter, super juicy.All the sides are great. Super portions, fair prices and to end it with any of their homemade desserts leaves the meal perfect.Will be back again !!!!

Nice country atmosphere just love going. A little red neck but you will enjoy the food. Onion rings and fried mushrooms are great. Cheeseburger and fries are great great fish. Love it very nice people.

Myself and 3 other ladies ate there yesterday. The server was very nice and helpful and the food was delicious! We will definitely go back.

Stopped for lunch and meal was served quickly. Good sized portions. Sandwich and salad was delicious. Clean restaurant with country style atmosphere. Prices great for the food served.

Edited review. I was always pleased with the food and service until recently. They close when ever they feel like it. Could be 6:45 Could be 8. We have been there 2 times in the last month and 1 time they had 20 min till close but was told we couldn't order. Today before 7 the place was empty lights out. While our party of 5 talked about what to do for dinner we saw 3 other cars pull up and leave. They must not want business. Delicious, the place is clean and the staff was friendly. Food came in a timely manner. Will be back

Had the bluegill dinner and fried mushrooms for an appetizer. Everything was great. Some of the best mushrooms I've had. Very polite server brought it out to our Jeep.

Food was amazing! Service was wonderful! Will definitely be going back!!! The loaded baked potato was so delicious!!! Fried pickles are a must!!!! Nice, homey feel. Really enjoyed our visit!

Very good place to eat

Fantastic "mom and pop" place to eat! Prices are very reasonable, there is a really good menu selection with a variety of specials that change daily and the staff treat you like family. It's a 'must try' if you're ever driving through the megatropolis <(sarcasm) of Ava Illinois!

Just have to shout out... Took your BlackBerry cobbler and Praline pie to our Mom's Day dinner in Paducah and the waitresses wouldn't stop coming back for more!! It was Awesome!! Thank you. Pastries were Great, too!!
